He also loves to listen to old MGR songs, finding it a good way to destress. Nowadays, he has been watching many MGR, Rajni and Kamal Haasan movies, which he says are all-time inspirations. He even discusses remaking such films with his friends and really admires the work of film makers of those days. He spends a lot of time making notes of the highlights and main features of these great classic hits. Vijay, very quiet by nature, observes a lot and it is only when he starts speaking that one actually gets to know how knowledgeable he is. He analyses every film he sees and even makes notes every now and then. Looks like the day is not far off when Vijay will actually direct a film on his own!
